Two things really, one is relating to whether things are unhealthy and the second one is about people's skill level in baking, the way I explain things sometimes makes it seem like it's just for people who are great at baking already when it's more about getting good instructions and trying new things. I also try and include more and less complicated recipes🙂. I try and mention the second one in things and just wrote this about the first topic https://sarahfrison.substack.com/p/what-do-you-do-on-a-sunday-afternoon.
Interesting! Maybe something like "approachable artisanal baking," which gives you room then to play with topics like balanced indulgence plus skill-building and accessible expertise? Excited to see how you develop your conversation territory in the weeks ahead!
Thank you Christin! I used the ‘artisanal’ and ‘authentic’ labels for my old Belgian chocolate business! I do wonder if here with the recipes people would relate artisanal to sourdough rather than ‘often from-scratch’ and a focus on techniques🤔.
this is exactly the type of thing i’ve been looking to do for myself! toward the end of last year i stopped trying to quiet my natural coverage and interest in music related topics. it’s just who i am and it resonates with the audience i have started to build. at the top most level, its themes like understanding each other thru art and openness thru art that i hope my perspective can swing from (via sharing music, low to medium brow streaming series, books, articles etc). thanks for these focus questions, christin!
Impossible to quiet what's in you! I like to ask of any potential idea: 1) Is it exciting for me to share? and 2) Is it relevant/helpful to my community? If so, it's a winner! Understanding/Openness through art is a great topic. Excited to develop it alongside you into your conversation territory! ⚡️
When I first did this exercise, the topic that kept coming up in conversations was feeling overwhelmed by content. It led to much of what you see here today! How about you? What's that one topic that keeps coming up for you?

That’s a great question for your ideal readers … to see how they describe it and use that language! 🫶
