⏪ Last time, the Monthly Edit guided session for December 2024. That’s here.
⏩ Today, introducing a new, foundational method for creating connection.
I dropped off all three of my precious little endless-energy-tornadoes at daycare/real school this morning for the first time in ~14 days.
Will I survive five hours of silence? Will I burn through all my emotional support coffee to cope with the exhaustion? Do I remember the login to anything?
Hard to say.
Stay tuned.
All I know is I’ve not worked in what feels like three months.
BUT I’M BACK, BAY BAY. 😎
Thus, 2025—and an all-new season of The Content Brief—can commence. ⚡️
And while you’ll typically hear from me on Wednesdays, there’s no time like the present in this first week of the year, so here we go…
Do you have a lot of content ideas but feel like they’re all over the place? Like you have plenty to share but can’t quite find a way to make it cohesive?
Or how about that feeling when you sit down to "create content" and your mind goes blank? Everything suddenly feels forced and you're wondering if anyone else actually has anything at all figured out?
Or if you should even bother?
I see you. And I've got good news: There's a better way to create content that matters—to you and your community.
The Truth About Connection
The secret isn't another growth hack or viral strategy. In a world where everyone's creating so much surface-level content, true engagement comes from something deeper: authentic connection.
That's why I'm introducing The Conscious Connection Method—a framework built on five essential elements to help you transform from frazzled content creator to confident conversation leader:
Clarity: Identify your authentic conversation territory.
Conviction: Be purposeful in your passion with a clear point of view.
Competence: Embrace your unique expertise and lived experience.
Confidence: Step into your role as leader, trusting that your voice matters.
Consistency: Bridge mindful creation with sustainable action, not endless output.
These elements work together to help you create content that's not just "valuable" but truly meaningful—both for you and your audience.
How It Works
Think of this method as your roadmap to creating content you're excited to share.
Clarity helps you identify conversations worth having.
Conviction transforms your message into unique insights.
Competence grounds your voice in earned wisdom.
Confidence empowers you to show up authentically.
Consistency makes it all sustainable.
The best part? This approach works whether you're just starting out or wanting to deepen your impact. It's not about being everywhere or saying everything—it's about leading the right conversations with the right people.
You have something unique to share. Let's make sure it shines through.
Join me as we explore each element, implementing practical tools that fit your real life and help you connect with your community.

Two things really, one is relating to whether things are unhealthy and the second one is about people's skill level in baking, the way I explain things sometimes makes it seem like it's just for people who are great at baking already when it's more about getting good instructions and trying new things. I also try and include more and less complicated recipes🙂. I try and mention the second one in things and just wrote this about the first topic https://sarahfrison.substack.com/p/what-do-you-do-on-a-sunday-afternoon.
this is exactly the type of thing i’ve been looking to do for myself! toward the end of last year i stopped trying to quiet my natural coverage and interest in music related topics. it’s just who i am and it resonates with the audience i have started to build. at the top most level, its themes like understanding each other thru art and openness thru art that i hope my perspective can swing from (via sharing music, low to medium brow streaming series, books, articles etc). thanks for these focus questions, christin!
