⏪ Last time, your invitation to the upcoming Quarterly Content Planning Party. That’s here.
⏩ Today, the point of content and a hack to help you.
Whenever I talk to the content curious, I am inevitably asked two things:
Why do you love writing utensils so much if you only ever type?
How do you keep everything organized?
The answer to the first is straight nostalgia. There simply was no better shopping trip than a back-to-school shopping trip with my mom as each summer came to a close. Ahh, I can still smell the pages of a crisp new notebook.
I still occasionally treat myself to a pen subscription box (truly, created for me!), supplies in the back-to-school aisle (25-cent crayons?!) and I would forever love anyone who sent me a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils (hint, hint!).

The answer to the second question is always, always, always the same: a simple, strategic system.
It's a direct gauge of how you’ll show up as a creator.
Better system = More consistency.
Mediocre system = Suffering for content (and ghosting on repeat).
There is nothing I know to be more true (except for the fact that you shouldn't take three tiny kids to a swim lesson solo—ASK ME HOW I KNOW).
If you can systemize your writing, community building, and ~your ideas~ in such a way that makes it easy, even enjoyable, to show up online?
~You can do anything.~
This is THE KEY to creating content that no one talks about. You know why?
Because most people want to talk about beating the ~ ALgOrItHm ~ and that’s pointless.
Can I say that here?
I can say that here, we're friends.
There's a lot of conjecture out there about "how to be a successful creator"—but it's often surface-level attempts to improve vanity metrics.
How many webinars have you watched and not actually been able to do anything with the info?
How many courses have you taken, and had the same "now what?" outcome?
The secret no one wants you to know is this: It's actually all very simple.
You make an offer.
People accept.
This is the entire point of content. The end.
(And your offer might simply be an idea in writing…it’s still an offer.)
You don't actually need to show up everywhere, all the time on some content hamster wheel of doom. You don’t need a social media manager. You just need to invite someone in, and make an offer.
❌ BUT—here's the rub…
If you don’t show up with consistency, your audience doesn’t receive regular updates from you and you lose out on building trust and engagement…then when you make the offer…crickets. 🦗
That’s when content “fails.”
The good news is: This is all something you can learn how to do, and completely transform your outcome.
From feeling insecure that no one wants to hear from you ~ from feeling like you aren't connecting (or selling) as much as you “should” be ~ from feeling like creating is a never-ending battle ~ from feeling like you're just barely keeping your head above water in your one-person content factory...
To having a steady, dependable workflow as a seamless part of your goals—from idea to publication and beyond.
The "hack" to being consistent online isn't to add a litany of fancy set-ups and systems and funnels and webinars and and and…
The hack is actually to do the opposite: Keep it beautifully simple. Make it easy. Make it fun. Make it a joy again, and your readers will feel joy when they connect with you (and take you up on those offers).
It's nothing complex.
And yet, it's everything.

Great post, Christin. Thank you As monthly paid member, do I have access to the Planning party on 7th?
My main takeaway - there is a gap in NZ market for pen subscription boxes. I didn't know it was a thing and I really NEED it 😁
